- Linen has exceptional filtering, bacteria resistance, ventilating, moisture absorption, and evaporation properties. As a result, linen bedsheets are the ideal companion for a restful night's sleep.

-Linen is hypoallergenic, making it ideal for people with skin conditions or sensitivities, as well as children and babies. The subtle massaging effect of linen fabric on the skin is due to microscopic breaks throughout its structure.

-Linen fabric is known for its breathability and is highly air permeable and heat conducting. This means that it keeps you warm in the winter and cool in the summer, allowing you to sleep comfortably and deeply.

- Before feeling wet, linen can absorb up to 20% of its weight in moisture. The ability to wick moisture away from the body keeps your clothes dry.

-Linen bedding is twice as durable as cotton bedding and can last for decades. This drastically reduces the cost-per-use and ensures that purchasing linen bedlinen is an excellent investment.
- Linen is a very environmentally friendly fabric because it uses all of the different parts of the flax plant. The best fibers are used to make linen, and the seeds are pressed to make linseed oil, which is used in floor coverings such as linoleum and paint. Not only does this reduce waste, but flax also requires no irrigation, is biodegradable, and is a renewable resource.

Climate issue addressed This natural linen duvet cover addresses climate change in its production by preventing pollution and reducing waste with the use of only natural and biodegradable materials. Waste reduction is central to our manufacturing processes. We carefully plan our fabric cutting so that we have as few leftovers as possible. The leftovers are then used to make smaller products or donated to sewing schools or crafters who make handmade linen products. If any products become faulty during or after production, we make every effort to repair them, recycle them into new products, or sell them alongside sample products during our regular office sales.

Sustainable materials It is built using OEKO-TEX® and EUROPEAN FLAX® certified linen fabric and all natural products in manufacturing and packaging. Linen is made from the flax plant, which requires fewer resources such as water and pesticides to grow than cotton. When the plant is harvested, various parts of it are used to make products other than linen fabric, such as twines and ropes, as well as linen seed oil and meal, both of which are used as food supplements due to their health-promoting properties. Finally, no chemicals are used in the production of linen fabric from flax, and the fabric itself is fully biodegradable if no chemicals are used.

Ethical production This product ethical production supports fair and safe work, vegan and traceable manufacture.

Best environmental practices Within its practices to support the environment, it works with durable design and offsetting emmissions. To reduce our carbon footprint, we prioritize collaboration with partners in Lithuania or neighboring countries. As a result, all of our fabrics are woven and prepared in Europe, ensuring higher material quality. Our products are made within 100 kilometers of our warehouse, from which orders are shipped to the final customer. We meticulously plan our logistics chain in order to avoid unnecessary CO2 emissions while also saving time and other resources.

How to wash linen fabric?
– Linen should be washed at 40°C / 100 °F. If some heavy-duty stains appear, you can increase the temperature
up to 60 °C / 140 °F. However, high temperatures shouldn’t be used too often as linen tends to shrink.
– Linen should be washed separately from other fabrics and colors.
– Hand-wash is best for thin linen fabrics, which could get damaged in the washing machine.
– Choose soft, neutral detergents for delicate fabrics. Avoid detergents with bleach (i.e. chlorine, peroxide).
How to bleach linen fabric?
– You can only bleach white linen pieces. Do not bleach colored items.
– It is recommended to use oxygen-based bleaching agents.
How to dry linen fabric?
– Linen can be dried in a tumble dryer on a low temperature, hung, or left to dry flat on a white towel.
– If using a tumble dryer, take the linen out when it’s still damp and complete drying by hanging it or laying flat.
– If possible, allow white linen pieces to dry out in the sun. It will help to maintain the fresh whiteness.
How to iron linen fabric?
– Iron linen while it’s still slightly damp.
– Use medium or high temperatures and steam. If needed, you can also spray some water on the fabric.
– Iron on the reverse side.
– If you like the natural, slightly crinkled look of linen, you can skip the ironing.

about our fabrics

Choosing the right fabric is arguably the most important ingredient in turning a room into an oasis of calm.
How is this natural linen duvet cover created?

This beautiful fabric piece is created by the family-run Linen Tales that works to provide the current linen classics to modern homes. Their primary goal is to create products that are not only functional but also beautiful, because of a passion for aesthetics. The mission is to make linen to be an essential component of contemporary houses all around the globe.

It all began with a new conception of the fabric. They intended to preserve the Lithuanian linen customs, but the drab, grey linen did little to inspire modern daily rituals. This is why, more color and softness were key components of their recipe. And it succeeded. They first opened the doors to their living room rather than a typical store to demonstrate how the new design made homes more attractive. And now, this beauty is shared globally.
